With summer break last week was a bit light but we welcomed Helen, a new player to the fold.

Congratulations to Spain on winning the FIFA World Cup, the halftime show featuring Madonna made it clear that Argentina wasn’t going to win. I base this on two observations.

  • Argentina played with 10 1/2 players as Messi just kind of hangs out until the last 20 minutes of the game. Then after the red card they were playing with only 9 1/2 players.
  • The Madonna appearance was telegraphing as she brought the song Don’t Cry for Me Argentina back into the zeitgeist in the late 90s.
